Jun 25   11:43 AM

The 24-year-old slugger returns to the majors on Sunday after the Rockies traded Mike Moustakas to the Angels following Saturday night's game. Toglia was hitting .240/.357/.463 with 13 homers and two stolen bases across 286 plate appearances in Triple-A.

Tigers manager A.J. Hinch told reporters that Matt Manning will likely start Tuesday's game against the Rangers.

Jun 25   11:25 AM

The Tigers have a spot open on Tuesday and Thursday next week, but Hinch said they haven't nailed down when the 25-year-old would return to the rotation. Manning has been on the injured list with a fractured right foot since early April. If Manning does return on Tuesday, he would lineup to face the Rockies on the road next Sunday. If he starts on Thursday, he will face the Athletics at home on Tuesday. Manning's placement in the rotation could impact Reese Olson, who would receive an extra day of rest.

Jeff McNeil is playing second base and batting seventh in Sunday's finale against the Phillies.

Jun 25   11:25 AM

McNeil missed Saturday's game due to left wrist soreness but feels healthy enough to start on Sunday. The 31-year-old veteran is hitting .264/.344/.335 with three homers and 34 runs scored over 306 plate appearances.

Travis Jankowski (hamstring) is not in the Rangers' starting lineup for Sunday's finale against the Yankees.

Jun 25   11:01 AM

Jankowski will miss his third game in a row with a hamstring issue. There is a chance he's available off the bench on Sunday. Robbie Grossman will patrol right field and seventh in his absence.

Josh Donaldson is not in the Yankees' starting lineup for Sunday's showdown against the Rangers.

Jun 25   11:01 AM

The 37-year-old veteran has been mired in a slump and is hitting .125/.204/.438 since returning from the injured list in early June. DJ LeMahieu will start at the hot corner and is batting sixth in his place.

Daulton Varsho is not in the Blue Jays starting lineup for Sunday's showdown against the Athletics.

Jun 25   11:01 AM

It appears to be a day off for the 26-year-old outfielder. Varsho has struggled in his first season with the Jays, hitting .222/.290/.391 with 12 homers and 10 steals. Whit Merrifield will bat second, and patrol left field in his absence.

Jesse Winker is not in the Brewers' starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Jun 25   11:01 AM

Winker has been the Brewers' full-time designated hitter since he returned from the injured list on June 17. However, the Brew Crew wanted to give Christian Yelich a day off from running around the outfield, and will take Winker's spot as Milwakkee's designated hitter on Sunday.

Will Brennan is batting seventh and playing center field in Sunday's finale against the Brewers.

Jun 25   11:01 AM

Brennan missed three games with left shoulder soreness but is ready to go on Sunday. The 25-year-old outfielder is looking to build upon a fantastic June, where he is hitting .328/.357/.507 with two homers and two steals.

Sean Murphy is catching and batting fifth in Sunday's showdown against the Reds.

Jun 25   10:30 AM

Murphy missed five games with a mild hamstring strain last Saturday. The 28-year-old pinch-hit on Thursday, but seeing him back behind the plate Sunday instead of being the Braves' designated hitter is a good sign that his hamstring is feeling much better.

Tim Anderson is not in the White Sox's starting lineup for Sunday's contest against the Red Sox.

Jun 25   10:30 AM

Anderson missed four games earlier in the week with right shoulder soreness but played in the last two games, albeit at second base instead of shortstop. The team has not announced if the 30-year-old is still experiencing soreness, but they should update his status soon.

Jorge Soler is not in the Marlins' starting lineup for Sunday's contest against the Pirates.

Jun 25   10:30 AM

It appears to be a regularly scheduled day of rest for the 31-year-old slugger. Soler has been outstanding this season, hitting .248/.346/.526 with 21 homers and 45 RBI across 312 plate appearances. Jesús Sánchez will start in right field and bat cleanup in his absence.

Adely Rutschman is not in the Orioles' starting lineup for Sunday's contest against the Mariners.

Jun 25   10:13 AM

It appears to be a simple day of rest for the 25-year-old superstar. Anthony Bemboom will start behind the plate and catch Kyle Bradish in his absence.

Jun 25   9:56 AM

Winder will take José De León's spot on the active roster. The 26-year-old right-hander has struggled this year in Triple-A, posting a 5.79 ERA and 1.67 WHIP across 13 appearances. He is not in the mix for saves at this point.

Twins placed RHP José De León on the 15-day injured list with a right flexor muscle strain.

Jun 25   9:56 AM

Yikes. After throwing a warmup pitch on Saturday, De León grabbed his elbow and immediately headed towards the Twins dugout. The team has not announced how severe the injury is, but the 30-year-old could be out for an extended period.

Emmanuel Clase recorded his 23rd save of the season Saturday against the Brewers.

Jun 25   9:33 AM

Hopefully, the 29-year-old can avoid a stint on the injured list, but with his injury history, you never know.

Cody Bellinger (illness) is not in the Cubs' starting lineup for Sunday's London Series finale against the Cardinals.

Jun 25   9:01 AM

Cubs manager David Ross told reporters that Bellinger is a "little under the weather" when asked why the 27-year-old slugger wasn't in Sunday's starting lineup. Trey Mancini pinch-hit for Bellinger in the top of the seventh inning on Saturday, and Bellinger being ill could be the reason why.

Ryan Helsley (forearm) was put on a 10-day no-throw program and is still a ways away from returning from the 15-day injured list.

Jun 25   8:13 AM

Yikes. Helsley was eligible to come off the 15-day injured list on Sunday, but Cardinals manager Oli Marmol told reporters that the 28-year-old is still a ways away from returning. Jordan Hicks and Giovanny Gallegos will likely share closing duties while Helsley is out.
